RiverRecycle Boards

RiverRecycle develops new products made from collected plastics, and also collects invasive species from waterways, turning them into compost for example for tree-nursery purposes.

What kind of product or service is it?

RiverRecycle boards are made from plastics collected from rivers and surrounding areas. The boards can be used for example in infrastructure, design, outdoor furniture, facades, or kiosks. These boards recycle plastics, that have previously been considered non-recyclable. Even multilayer plastics can be recycled with this technique into new board products.

How is this related to the circular economy?

The raw material is collected from nature and urban areas, mainly from rivers, and brought back into use by cleaning and recycling them.
