What kind of product or service is it?

FabPatch clothing repair patch is an easy-to-use textile patch that can be used to repair or reinforce worn or torn areas on clothing and other fabric products without sewing. The patch works like a plaster: it is slid over the hole or worn area and firmly attached by rubbing, creating a durable and neat repair.

The product is designed for anyone who wants to easily extend the life of their textiles – especially families with children, outdoor enthusiasts, workwear users, and those interested in responsible consumption. The clothing patch can be used, for example, to repair worn knees on children’s outdoor pants, reinforce the seams of jeans, patch a small tear in a technical outdoor jacket, or repair a tear in a backpack or canvas bag. Different materials and patterns help you find the right patch for every need.

FabPatch was developed to solve the challenges of traditional repair products: patching had to be as easy and quick as applying a band-aid, without sewing or special skills. At the same time, FabPatch wanted a patch that would also be suitable for indoor clothing – a flexible and thin patch that would not be thick or clumsy. In addition, the company wanted the repair to be beautiful: carefully considered patterns and colors make the patch part of the garment, so that repairing it is a moment of joy and pride rather than annoyance.

How is the solution related to the circular economy?

FabPatch clothing repair patches contribute to the circular economy by extending the life of textiles: when holes or wear and tear can be easily repaired immediately, clothing does not end up being discarded prematurely. This reduces the need to buy new items, saves materials and manufacturing emissions, and reduces the amount of textile waste. Repairing has been made so easy that it becomes part of your daily routine – and that’s why more and more clothes stay in circulation longer.
